Attendance at API & LendLease Tour of Barangaroo Development
5 December 2016
EPS’s Valuer, Leonie Bryson, and members of the Australian Property Institute (API) attended a private tour of Sydney’s Barangaroo Development site in October. The event, hosted by the API’s ‘Young Property Professionals’ in conjunction with Lendlease, showcased the master planned precinct’s outstanding contemporary design.
With a focus on the themes of excellence and sustainability, the tour explored the integrated commercial, retail and residential areas of the development site.
Anticipated to generate over $2 billion per annum to the New South Wales economy and provide 24,000 permanent jobs, Barangaroo is destined to be a globally recognised urban waterfront destination. The project not only aims to be a landmark in development design and technology, but also nurtures a strong drive for sustainability.
The site is acclaimed to be one of the world’s first climate positive precincts of its scale in the world through its integration of sustainable features, passive heating and cooling design and waste and water recycling capabilities.
EPS were excited to attend the tour and observe the inspiring, sustainable initiatives being implemented in a large scale urban environment.
