Development Application Lodged for Ascent Luxury Apartments

Nelson Bay is expected to benefit from renewed confidence in the Port Stephens property market. The long-standing abandoned construction site in Church Street, in Nelson Bay CBD is now the subject of a proposed a high-end luxury apartment building. The proposal is to create a new standard of permanent living in Port Stephens, featuring facilities such as a heated swimming pool, gymnasium, a security garage and a large workshop. The development, known as Ascent, will provide a mix of large three-bedroom homes, two bedroom apartments and one bedroom units.

Prepared by EPS in late 2016, Ascent’s development application, including a Statement of Environmental Effects and request for exemptions to Development Standards have been submitted and the application is currently being reviewed by Port Stephens Council.
