Exploring NSW Housing Affordability (Interactive Maps) – How does your LGA Stack Up?
9 May 2019
Housing affordability is an issue that continues to dominate the Australian economic, social and political landscape.
In NSW, given the strong capital growth in residential property over the past 20 years, and particularly over the five years to 2017, the price of housing has increased much more rapidly than household incomes.
These market conditions have seen housing affordability drop to very low levels by both historical and international standards.
How does your region stack up for housing affordability? How does it compare to neighbouring suburbs or similarly sized regional centres?
This collection of interactive maps visually explores the current state of housing affordability across NSW.
